Joy is only 5 years old, yet she is fighting a battle that few of us can truly understand. She lives in a world where she feels, understands, and longs… but cannot express what’s in her heart. Joy suffers from a rare genetic condition – SYNGAP1 – which affects her brain development. In addition, she faces daily challenges such as generalized hypotonia, digestive issues, encopresis, and multiple allergies and intolerances.
